Braxton's quickie for the day...
Email: My power box has gone on the fritz and I've only had it a few months! It has two channels. One channel works fine, the other one works occasionally, but starts cutting in and out. Is there anything I should have done differently to make it last longer?
As a rule, power boxes are incredibly reliable. In the absence of physical abuse, it's not unusual to get years of good service from one. If you haven't already tried it, swap your lead wires. The odds are great that the "channel problem" will magically move to the other channel!
In other words, you probably have a lead wire that's developed a short.
