Braxton's quickie for the day...
Email: I just attempted my first stim, but when I turned on the power, nothing happened. Is this an indication I had a problem with my hookup?
I would need more details to say for certain, but I'll offer an educated guess. Assuming it was a simple pad configuration (one lead wire connected to two pads), it's far more likely you fell victim to the "dead zone". When you first power up, you won't feel anything until you raise the power enough to overcome your body's resistance to the current.
This dead zone varies among individuals, but it can easily consume anywhere from 10 to 20 percent of available power.
