Braxton's quickie for the day...
Quickie reader question: When I stim with sticky pads only, it feels good, but it does not leave me feeling as “satisfied” as I feel when I stim with my vaginal electrode. Why is that?
First, this is my disclaimer that everything in this answer is only my personal opinion.
I think the perceived quality of the stim is determined by two components: (1) pelvic floor contractions and (2) the degree to which the current rides a major nerve during the stim. For the example posed in your question, I would say that your vaginal electrode produces higher quality contractions than you will ever obtain from sticky pads.
Assuming that your vaginal electrode is bipolar, I will suggest a more advanced configuration that could leave everything else in the dust. Place a large sticky pad on each side of the spine where the sacral nerve intersects. Take a lead wire, and connect it to a sticky pad and a pole on your vaginal electrode. Take a second lead wire and make the remaining connections. This configuration not only increases the power of the vaginal stim, but now the current is riding major segments of the sacral nerve as well.
