Let’s talk prostate electrodes!
Finding the prostate via an electrode is a frequent topic in my email bag. For those who are frustrated in their search, I offer some advice. Look carefully at how the poles (points of contact) are arranged on your electrode. It’s quite possible that you’ve found the prostate, yet you are missing the target due to twisting during insertion, leaving the pole “off the mark” for direct stimulation of the prostate.
Let’s look at the radically different “philosophies” behind our two prostate electrodes:
The CurrentProMax is the ultimate guarantee that you can reach the prostate, with five inches of insertion, and opposing poles which virtually assure prostate stimulation, once the correct depth is determined.
The CurrentTriPole is a “one-sided” electrode with all of the poles on a single side of the electrode. This feature offers a highly focused stimulation. In fact, depending upon the depth of your prostate, it may be possible to “sandwich” the prostate between two of the three poles. This is ideal with a combination of two CurrentLoops, or even two sticky pads on the sacral nerve.
