Braxton's quickie for the day...
Today, a rare departure from stimming, though not altogether unrelated.
I have mentioned before that the average sperm count has been in a state of decline for the past 30 years. This statistic goes hand-in-hand with observations that men are increasingly being “estrogenized” thanks to environmental factors, such as chemicals present in some plastics.
It turns out that men could possibly benefit from an inexpensive supplement called dong quai (internet search: dong quai for men). Ladies, I can’t blame you for laughing, because you are correct in thinking that dong quai has a thousand-year-old reputation for treating menstrual and gynecological complaints. However, the benefits are not limited to women because, in fact, dong quai can help to balance estrogen levels for both men and women, thus lowering the average level in over-estrogenized men.
As with any supplement, it is vital that you (and your doctor) perform some due diligence. There are many contraindications that could preclude it as a potential candidate for you.
